Children and Youth

XSIGHTS has extensive experience carrying out research that involves children and young people. Below are some examples of our work:

MEL System Design for Rehabilitation Centers for Trafficked Children

ECPAT International   runs a well-regarded rehabilitation programme for sexually exploited children in India and Bangladesh. XSIGHTS was asked to establish an M&E system for their programme.   XSIGHTS interviewed the children who benefited from the programme and proposed a child- centric M&E framework with support from projective and participatory techniques.  The indicators included academic achievement, quality of social interactions as well as psychological well-being of the children in the rehabilitation center.

Impact of Divorce on Children

XSIGHTS has conducted a very large qualitative survey with total of 330 in-depth interviews in Turkey. Two hundred of the interviews were conducted with individuals who have been divorced in the last five years while 130 of them were conducted with members of the legal system, such as Judges, Lawyers, Case Attendants and Social Service Experts who are employed within the legal system. The project aimed to i identify improvements in the judicial system and legal framework that would be in the best interest of the children whose parents are divorced.

Knowledge Attitudes and Perception of Saving and Investing Among Children

XSIGHTS conducted a KAP Survey for an international bank about children’s attitudes towards saving and investing.  The results of the survey were used to design new financial products orientated to motivate children to start saving at an early age.

Perception of Ethics Among University Students

XSIGHTS has conducted a detailed quantitative survey about how university students in Turkey approach ethical issues on behalf of the Center for Ethical Values (EDMER). This survey was then used to raise awareness about ethical values among university students and recruit Ethics Leaders in different campuses across Turkey.

Perception of Ethics Among Young Professionals

EDMER (Center for Ethical Values) commissioned this research to assess how young professionals working in several different sectors perceive ethics and how they would react to ethical dilemmas in the workplace. The research analyzed the difference in the perception of ethics across different sectors and offered suggestions on how to establish strong ethical cultures in an organisational setting.
